TAH Foundation, RELEX Foundation, Alli Paasikivi Foundation, Foundation Brita Maria Renlunds minne, Urlus Foundation, and the Eileen Starckjohann and Thelma Starckjohann-Bruun Foundation have launched a joint call for grants to support nature excursions for groups in early childhood education, primary education, and upper secondary education. The call is open February 18 – March 11, 2026.

The participating foundations have identified a need among early childhood education groups and school students for nature excursions that help children and young people enrich and deepen their relationship with the environment. Through this call, the foundations aim to enable as many children and young people as possible to take part in a nature excursion.

Grants of up to 1000 euros per excursion will be awarded. The excursion must be completed by the end of October 2026. Applicants will be informed of the funding decisions directly by March 25, 2026.

Last year’s call for nature excursion grants was highly successful. In 2025, a total of 141,000 euros was awarded, enabling more than 10,000 children and young people to participate in a nature excursion with their class or group. The excursions included visits to national parks as well as local nature destinations, such as birdwatching towers, nearby islands, and nature trails.

The call for grants is implemented in cooperation with the Guides and Scouts of Finland.

The application period is open from February 18 to March 11, 2026.

Further information and a link to the application form are available on the Guides and Scouts of Finland website.
