BSAG strives to remove policy barriers to regenerative agriculture
The partnership with RELEX Foundation helps Baltic Sea Action Group to strengthen the regenerative agriculture movement on the European level and work to remove policy barriers that block large-scale change.
Land use is the biggest driver behind biodiversity loss, and the biggest land user in the world is agriculture, taking nearly 50 % of Earth’s habitable land. The third of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions are related to food. The food systems must change.
For years, the Baltic Sea Action Group has worked to test methods of regenerative farming that improve soil health, boost carbon sequestration, and support biodiversity. They have successfully rallied farmers, food value chain companies and researchers to collaborate for tangible change.
